A man has been crushed to death by a truck while scavenging at the dump in Forres Park, Claxton Bay.
The incident happened shortly after 11 am today.
The man has not yet been identified.
Just last year MP for Pointe-a-Pierre David Lee called for the closure of the Forres Park Landfill because of the health and social issues affecting residents.
This is a developing story.
